Senior Leader & Spouse's Retreat

At the core of any successful ministry should be a vibrant, healthy marriage of two people committed to the Lord, each other, their family and their missional calling (the exception being when a single person is serving in this capacity). However, all too often marriage is left at the roadside in pursuit of successful ministry, and, over time, feelings of abandonment, resentment and loneliness build. Clearly when God said "the two shall become one" this is not what he intended.

Ironically, this is not a marriage retreat and the content isn't geared around that. But we do create space for both spouses to hear from God through word, worship, rest at the beach, fun, Huddle times and plenty of time to just be around each other in a relaxed environment. It is in these times that we realize how crucial we are to each other and that ministry is to be lived in the overflow of that life. You will leave this week rested, re-connected, revitalized and with more hours of sleep on your side than when you came in.

In our opinion, this retreat is the very best thing we do.

As we make preparations for your arrival we wanted to bring to your attention a couple opportunities for FUN while you're here...

Brookgreen Gardens is one of the few places in the United States to have earned accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums as well as being designated a National Historic Landmark and listed on the Register of National Historic Places. Brookgreen Gardens, the first public sculpture garden in America, has in its collection more than 1,400 works by over 350 sculptors. Exhibited within the gardens is the largest and most comprehensive collection of American figurative sculpture in the country, by sculptors who worked from the early nineteenth century to the present. Golfing - As always, we have reserved T-Times for Wednesday. We will plan to head out to the club after huddle. You do not need to pay in advance, but a headcount for our reservation would be appreciated! The cost for golfing will be $50 and that also includes lunch and 2 drinks.

Photography - We would love the opportunity to take a photo of you and your spouse as a gift to remember your time at the retreat. We will plan to shoot photos on Wednesday evening during hor d'oeuvres.
